| The Sharanam Centre believes that each child has the right to education and all girls are encouraged to complete a secondary level education (10th Standard) at minimum and will help all its children in achieving the highest possible level of education.
Younger children (below the age of 6) are placed in local balwadis (pre-school) in order to foster learning, and socialization at the earliest age possible. At the age of 6, or when the girls are ready, we enroll them into the local municipal school. Once in the 5th standard each girl is enrolled in a private Hindi medium school, in order to let the girls have access to a higher quality education.
The Centre also provides all learning materials, supplies, uniforms and transportation costs associated with each child’s educational needs.
Education is given special importance with additional daily tuition classes allowing the girls to further excel in their studies.
